SALSA / BACHATA / HOUSE

Jean-Marc’s passion for dance started at an early age. Growing up in a culture where dance is celebrated led him to freely experiment with various dance styles. He frequently performed in high school and university dance shows, and frequently competed in various House dance battles in Toronto and Montreal.

In 2015, his passion for dance was introduced to Salsa dance and he has not looked back since. He has become an active and passionate member of the salsa dance community in Toronto. Since 2016, he has trained and performed with the CDC Latin Dance Company under the direction of Tina Nico and Jerome Jean-Gilles. As a member of the CDC Latin Dance Company, he has performed at CDC showcases, Latin dance socials, and salsa congresses in Toronto and Montreal. He is always looking to grow as a dancer by taking workshops with some of the best salsa artists in the world.

Jean-Marc believes in uplifting people through dance by creating a welcoming and safe environment where folks can learn in a variety of different ways. This means understanding the importance of a strong technical foundation, then ultimately dancing in a way that celebrates your own energy, flavour and personality.
