1. What if I have never taken a dance class before?
We welcome dancers of all levels - from Beginner to Advanced, and have classes designed just for you!
Our Absolute Beginners Courses are perfect for learning the fundamentals of a dance form. They are progressive and run in 7 or 8-week sessions. Drop-In Classes are also offered for all levels and abilities. Classes that do not have a level specification are suitable for all levels, including beginners.

2. Do I need to sign up for classes ahead of time?
Drop-In Classes and Non-Progressive Latin Classes – Signing up ahead of time is required. Registration for Drop-In and Non-Progressive Latin Classes closes 2 hours before the class starts. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 2 hours ahead of class time. Sign up via our City Dance Corps app (available for iPhone and Android) or on our website.
Beginner Courses and Special Workshops – Pre-registration is required. Registration closes one week before the start of class.
3. What if I'm late to class?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your class starts. Latecomers are not allowed in class more than 15 minutes after the start time. You will be charged for the class if you arrive too late to participate.
4. How large are the classes and what is the general age range?
Class capacity varies based on studio size and dance style. To participate in an adult class, you must be 18 years of age or older. Youth classes are offered for dancers aged 1-17.
5. Can I bring my child to adult classes?
Unfortunately, children are not allowed in adult classes. This ensures that the environment remains focused and comfortable for all participants.
If your little one is interested in dance, we highly recommend reaching out to our Youth program team (youth@citydancecorps.com) to learn more about registration!
6. What is the dress code for classes?
Dress codes vary by class type and are usually listed in the class description on the schedule. For in-studio classes, we enforce a strict No Outdoor Shoes policy to keep our dance floors clean and safe. Wet shoes are not allowed on the floor during rainy or snowy weather. We have an in-studio store where you can purchase dance shoes, Latin heels, leotards, tights, yoga pants, leg warmers, and more!
7. How can I purchase classes?
All classes must be paid for in advance through our City Dance Corps app or website. We accept debit, Visa, MasterCard, and cash (in person).

8. Is there parking for in-studio classes?

9. What can I expect for my first day of classes?
Come prepared: Bring your dance shoes, water bottle, and anything else you may need. Be sure to check the class description and special instructions in your Wellness Living account for details. We also sell water and snacks, and yoga mats are available to rent for $2 each at the front desk.
Check-in + Studio Tour: Upon arrival, our friendly front desk staff will greet you, show you around the studio, and guide you to your class. Check-ins are mandatory for all students upon being welcomed into the building!
