GRACE KINGSTON

MODERN/CONTEMPORARY

Grace Kingston is a contemporary dance artist, teacher, and choreographer, based in Toronto, Ontario. Grace is passionate about community outreach, and she works closely within a diverse range of communities sharing creative, and therapeutic movement. She is experienced in a range of different dance genres and techniques, but has always found herself attracted to the freedom and imagination of modern, and contemporary dance. Grace is a recent graduate of York University's Dance program, with a focus in choreography, and performance. Here, she has had the opportunity to share her passion, and learn from many renowned choreographers, and teachers, such as Helen Jones, Susan Lee, Syreeta Hector, and Julia Sasso. Graces teaching practice draws from not only dance, but yoga, pilates, and somatic based ideologies as well. When taking class with Grace you can expect the chance to express yourself from the inside out, and explore your physical boundaries in a safe, and inclusive environment. Grace’s hope for all of her students is that each practice is a chance to deeply connect with the inner self, and ground oneself through intuitive movement.
